Description
This grant opportunity funds Illinois-based organizations—especially smaller nonprofits, community organizations, and eligible for-profits—to strengthen their internal capacity and/or deliver or expand community-based violence prevention services. The program combines financial support (up to $250,000 per organization) with required participation in coaching, technical assistance, professional development, and peer-learning activities. Projects must align with at least one goal of the Statewide Violence Prevention Plan for Illinois (2025–2029): promoting health and safety, advancing equity, or fostering collaboration. Applicants may propose capacity-building activities, violence prevention services, or a combination of both.
