The Intercultural Development Learning Community is a cohort-based, virtual professional development program designed for community engagement professionals, faculty, and staff affiliated with Campus Compact member institutions. Over several months, participants engage in a structured curriculum rooted in cultural humility, focusing on self-exploration, building intercultural competence, and developing sustainable systems of support for effective community engagement. The program incorporates the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI)—a validated assessment tool—alongside collaborative learning, small-group discussions, and evidence-based modules. Participants are guided by experienced facilitators, including IDI Qualified Administrators, and are expected to actively contribute to the cohort’s shared learning and growth.
