The International Affairs Fellowship in Canada, sponsored by Power Corporation of Canada and administered by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), provides mid-career U.S. professionals with an immersive, 6–12 month experience at a Canadian institution. The program aims to deepen understanding of Canada and enhance U.S.-Canada relations by placing fellows in government, civil society, or academic settings. Fellows engage directly with Canadian policymakers and organizations, gaining firsthand insights into Canadian policymaking and bilateral issues. CFR assists fellows in securing suitable host organizations, though placements are ultimately at the discretion of the host institution. The fellowship is a full-time, in-person commitment, requiring fellows to be on-site at least four days per week.
