The International Affairs Fellowship in Indonesia is a unique program designed to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between emerging leaders in Indonesia and the United States. Sponsored by Yayasan Persahabatan Indonesia Amerika Serikat and administered by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), this fellowship offers mid-career U.S. professionals from diverse fields the opportunity to spend three to twelve months conducting independent research in Indonesia. Fellows immerse themselves in Indonesian society and institutions, develop professional networks, and gain deeper insights into the country’s opportunities and challenges.
