The International Policy Ideas Challenge is a collaborative initiative between Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), administered via UBC and other Canadian institutions. The program aims to harness the expertise of Canadian graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career civil society researchers to generate actionable, innovative solutions to pressing international policy challenges relevant to Canada. Winners receive financial support, personalized coaching, and opportunities to present their policy briefs to Government of Canada officials, culminating in a national symposium.
