This one-year Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, provides advanced training in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for gastrointestinal diseases. The curriculum includes exposure to cutting-edge techniques such as advanced tissue resection, third space endoscopy, robotic endoscopy, luminal stent therapy, and interventions for both benign and malignant GI conditions. Fellows receive hands-on experience with upper and lower endoscopy, balloon- or overtube-assisted endoscopy, enteroscopy, and bariatric endoscopy. The program includes access to animal labs for explant and live model training, opportunities to participate in pre-market evaluation discussions, and completion of approximately 50 advanced resection and third space procedures. The fellowship is designed to support comprehensive clinical, educational, and research development.
