Description
Genentech’s Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) program welcomes unsolicited clinical research proposals from qualified sponsors with ideas aligned with its areas of strategic interest. Investigator-initiated studies are initiated, developed, designed, and managed by the sponsor and contribute to Genentech’s overall research and development approach.
The program considers scientifically sound studies that enhance understanding of Genentech medicines, improve patient care, and spark new ideas for disease-related research. Supported work includes interventional studies of approved or investigational uses of Genentech medicines, clinical observational studies and real-world evidence, and clinical studies requesting medicines only. Medical science personnel can guide sponsors from concept pre-approval through submission of the final budget and protocol.
