Description
This program facilitates partnerships between Iowa artists (or artist teams) and local communities to plan, design, and install original murals that authentically represent the unique creative and cultural identity of each community. Selected artists and communities work together through a guided process, emphasizing collaboration, public engagement, and the activation of shared spaces. The initiative aims to foster civic pride, welcome residents and visitors, and elevate the visual character of Iowa communities with populations of 20,000 or fewer.
