The Iris Burton Bulls ROTC Fellowship is an initiative of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office (DLNSEO), administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). This program brings a select group of outstanding ROTC cadets and midshipmen to Washington, D.C. for an intensive two-day seminar. The Fellowship is designed to support future military officers as they integrate critical language skills, regional expertise, and cultural training into their leadership and career development.

Fellows participate in a national security seminar, receive professional mentoring, and have opportunities to engage with Department of Defense senior leadership, Service Senior Language Authorities, and members of military language communities such as the Foreign Area Officer and special operations communities. The program aims to foster professional growth, build connections within the NSEP alumni network, and showcase ROTC talent within the Department of Defense.
