    Description

The Japanese Language Education Assistant Program (J-LEAP) is an initiative by the Japan Foundation Los Angeles (JFLA) and The Laurasian Institution to enhance Japanese language instruction in U.S. K-12 schools. The program brings native Japanese Assistant Teachers (ATs) to American classrooms for up to two years, where they work alongside Lead Teachers (LTs) to strengthen language programs and foster cultural exchange. ATs assist with instruction, curriculum development, and community activities, providing authentic language and cultural experiences to students while supporting the professional growth of both ATs and LTs.
