    Description

The Japanese Language Education Assistant Program (J-LEAP) is an initiative of the Japan Foundation of Los Angeles, designed to strengthen Japanese language education in the United States. The program dispatches native Japanese Assistant Teachers (ATs) to U.S. K-12 schools for up to two years, where they team-teach with local Lead Teachers (LTs) and serve as cultural ambassadors. The aim is to enhance classroom instruction, provide authentic language and cultural exposure, and foster professional development for both ATs and LTs. J-LEAP is jointly administered with The Laurasian Institution.
