    Description

    The Japanese Language Education Assistant Program (J-LEAP) is an initiative by the Japan Foundation of Los Angeles, in partnership with the Laurasian Institution, to strengthen Japanese language education in the United States. The program places young, native Japanese assistant teachers in K-12 U.S. schools to collaborate with local lead teachers for a two-year period. The goals are to enhance the quality of Japanese language instruction, promote cultural exchange, and provide students with authentic language and cultural experiences. J-LEAP also offers professional development opportunities for participating educators and helps schools build sustainable, vibrant Japanese language programs at no cost.
