--- ## Description This annual prize honors an active scientist affiliated with a Danish non-profit research institution who has made groundbreaking contributions to bioscience and basic biomedicine, particularly in advancing the understanding of human physiology and disease mechanisms. Established in 1939 and first awarded in 1942, the prize aims to celebrate scientific excellence and promote biomedical research in Denmark.
