--- ## Description The Novo Nordisk Foundation Jacobæus Prize for Biomedicine is awarded annually to an outstanding, active scientist affiliated with a Danish non-profit research institution who has made a major discovery or breakthrough in bioscience or basic biomedicine. The prize honors scientific excellence that advances understanding of human physiology or disease mechanisms. In addition to the monetary award, the recipient must organize a scientific symposium to present their research and foster further discussion in their field.
