This two-year program is designed for early-career academic professionals in family medicine who wish to participate in evidence-based health care or public health studies under the auspices of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Fellows remain at their home institutions while dedicating 10–20% of their time to NAM activities, including participation in board meetings, study committees, and a one-week policy orientation. The fellowship emphasizes leadership development, exposure to national policy processes, and engagement with interdisciplinary experts.
