The Japanese Language Education Assistant Program (JLEAP) is designed to enhance Japanese language education in K-12 schools across the United States by placing native Japanese Language Assistant Teachers (ATs) in host institutions for up to two years. The program aims to strengthen existing Japanese language programs, provide students with authentic linguistic and cultural experiences, and cultivate the next generation of Japanese language educators. JLEAP is jointly administered by the Japan Foundation Los Angeles and The Laurasian Institution.
