The Jay and Deborah Last Fellowship is a short-term residential fellowship supporting scholarly research projects focused on American art, visual culture, or related topics that make substantial use of graphic materials as primary sources. Funded by a gift from Jay and Deborah Last, the fellowship is designed to encourage the use of the American Antiquarian Society’s extensive graphic collections and to advance understanding of the visual dimensions of American history and culture. Fellows are expected to be in residence at the Society in Worcester, Massachusetts, for one to two months.
