The John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship offers graduate students an immersive, one-year experience in the national policy arena focused on ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources. Fellows are placed in legislative or executive offices in Washington, D.C., where they contribute to policy, communications, program analysis, and stakeholder engagement on issues affecting marine and aquatic environments. The fellowship is named after John A. Knauss, a Sea Grant founder and former NOAA Administrator, and is administered through the National Sea Grant College Program in partnership with state Sea Grant programs, such as USC Sea Grant.
