This opportunity from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) supports a single NGO-led consortium to deliver the protection component of the Jordan Humanitarian and Systems Strengthening Programme (JHASS). The programme targets refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in non-camp settings across Jordan, aiming to strengthen wellbeing, safety, resilience, and social cohesion through inclusive, survivor-centred protection programming. Key outcomes include preventing and responding to gender-based violence (GBV), strengthening child protection, providing psychosocial support, supporting community-based protection, enhancing local systems and referral pathways, and advancing gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI).
The initiative is designed to complement existing national and humanitarian protection responses, with a strong emphasis on localisation, meaningful participation of national and local organisations, and systems strengthening for long-term sustainability.
