This award honors a single peer-reviewed investigation that has significantly advanced understanding of, or addressed, inequities in oral health. The focus is on research that uncovers new manifestations of oral health disparities, introduces innovative concepts for understanding inequities, or proposes novel approaches to reducing disparities in oral health care. Named after Dr. Judith Albino, a leader in health equity research, the award spotlights scholarship that drives progress toward health equity within dental and craniofacial research. Both published and accepted-for-publication works are eligible, and the awardee will be recognized at the IADR General Session.
