The Kathryn and Peter Yatrakis Fellowship is designed to support advanced research projects that require substantial use of the Gennadius Library at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA). The Gennadius Library is renowned for its extensive holdings—over 150,000 rare books, manuscripts, archives, research materials, and works of art—illuminating Hellenism, Greece, and neighboring civilizations from antiquity to modern times. The fellowship enables scholars to immerse themselves in the library’s unique resources, including rare maps, early editions of classical works, and other significant artifacts. Fellows are expected to be active participants in the academic life of the School and to conduct their research in residence in Athens for the full academic year.
