Supports a youth leadership camp in Kazakhstan to develop entrepreneurship, job skills, and U.S. cultural understanding among 50 promising Kazakh youth.

--- ## Description This opportunity funds the implementation of a youth leadership camp in Kazakhstan during summer 2026. The camp is designed to foster entrepreneurship, job skills, and a greater understanding of U.S. culture and business practices among up to 50 Kazakh youth (ages 15–19), particularly those who were semi-finalists and alternates for U.S. Government (USG) youth exchange programs. The program aims to: - Equip participants with leadership, business, and career preparation skills. - Increase understanding of U.S. business culture, entrepreneurship, and innovation. - Support participants in developing and implementing entrepreneurship projects. - Build a sustainable network of young leaders and USG alumni. The U.S. Embassy will be actively involved in the project, including participant selection and identifying trainers. Proposals that leverage U.S. Department of State resources (e.g., Regional English Language Office, American Spaces, EducationUSA) are preferred. --- ## Due Dates - **Full Proposal Deadline:** July 31, 2025, 23:59 Astana/Almaty time (No rolling or recurring deadlines; late applications will not be considered.) --- ## Funding Amount - **Total funding available:** $40,000–$80,000 (one cooperative agreement expected) - **Project duration:** 12–18 months - **Cost sharing/matching:** Not required --- ## Eligibility Eligible applicants include: - Not-for-profit organizations (including think tanks and NGOs) - Public and private educational institutions - Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions **Note:** For-profit entities and individuals are not eligible. Only one application per organization is allowed.
