--- ## Description The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) plans to continue the Kidney Precision Medicine Project (KPMP) through a new funding opportunity. The KPMP aims to safely and ethically collect and analyze human kidney biopsy tissue to uncover molecular pathways involved in chronic kidney diseases (CKDs) and acute kidney injuries (AKIs). This renewal will support both the follow-up of current participants and the recruitment and detailed study of additional participants, with the goal of accelerating discovery of disease mechanisms and novel therapeutic targets. The program will fund: - A single U24 award for clinical and data coordination, integration, analysis, and sharing. - Up to 14 U01 awards for recruitment sites (participant recruitment, biopsy, longitudinal data) and Tissue Interrogation Sites (advanced tissue analysis with high-quality standards).
