The King Center on Global Development at Stanford University offers support for conferences, lectures, workshops, and other academic events that address global development and poverty-related topics. The program aims to foster multidisciplinary collaboration among academics, practitioners, policymakers, and private sector leaders, with a focus on solutions-oriented research spanning disciplines such as earth sciences, economics, engineering, medicine, political science, and policy. Supported events may range from small workshops to large multi-day conferences, and requests to co-fund departmental seminar series are also considered. In addition to funding, the King Center may provide event planning assistance and access to conference spaces, subject to availability.
