Description
The LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund was a rapid-response initiative led by the Getty Foundation, in collaboration with the Center for Cultural Innovation and a coalition of local, national, and international supporters. The fund was established in January 2025 to provide critical, one-time financial assistance to artists and arts workers across all disciplines in Los Angeles County whose residences and/or studios were directly impacted by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires. The program prioritized speed and accessibility, ensuring that those whose lives and livelihoods were disrupted by the fires received timely support. The fund ultimately distributed $16.4 million to 1,689 recipients, with the majority receiving the full $10,000 maximum grant.
