The Lavender Rhetorics Award for Excellence in Queer Scholarship, presented by the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), honors outstanding works that make significant queer interventions in the study of composition and rhetoric. The award is given annually to one book, one article or book chapter, one dissertation, and one nontraditional scholarly text published or conferred within the preceding two years. Recipients are selected for their originality, theoretical or pedagogical significance, affective impact, and influence or potential influence on the field. The award aims to highlight contributions that address timely issues, fill gaps in existing knowledge, and demonstrate promise for future exploration in queer scholarship related to composition and rhetoric.
