Description
The Law Enforcement Apprenticeship Program (LEAP) is a state-funded initiative administered by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Office of Criminal Justice Grants. LEAP provides financial support to local Sheriffs Offices to sponsor deputy sheriff trainees, reimbursing allowable costs during the apprenticeship period. The program aims to bolster law enforcement capacity across Florida, with priority given to agencies in fiscally constrained counties.
