This opportunity will provide approximately $10 million to support a National Fund Manager (NFM) responsible for designing and managing a Lead-Safe and Healthy Homes Financing Fund Demonstration. The Fund's goal is to accelerate the reduction of residential lead exposure—particularly childhood lead poisoning—and improve housing-related health outcomes in low-income communities. The NFM will leverage public funds to attract private capital, structure financing mechanisms, and support technical assistance. The Fund will aggregate and deploy capital through loans, grants, and other financial products to state, regional, and local governments and nonprofit organizations, particularly focusing on 1–4 unit properties in low-income areas. HUD will retain oversight of compliance, fund structure, and performance.
