Description
This fellowship, offered by the Leonard A. Lauder Research Center for Modern Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, provides advanced PhD students specializing in modern art the opportunity to focus on completing their dissertations. The program is designed for students who cannot be in residence at The Met and who are in the final year of dissertation writing. Fellows participate virtually in writing workshops, works-in-progress sessions, and monthly meetings with the Head of the Research Center, and contribute to the Modern Art Index Project. The aim is to foster intellectual exchange and support independent research in modern art history, broadly defined to include a range of disciplines and media from the late 19th century through the 1960s.
