The LEarning VAriability NeTwork Exchange (LEVANTE) is a flagship initiative of the Jacobs Foundation, developed in partnership with Stanford University and other global institutions. LEVANTE aims to transform the science of learning variability in children aged 3–12 by building the first cross-cultural, multidisciplinary open dataset—the LEVANTE Data Archive (LDA). The initiative funds international research teams to collect standardized cognitive, emotional, social, and environmental data, with a focus on understanding how learning and development vary within and across individuals, groups, and cultural contexts. By fostering a global research community and influencing education systems, LEVANTE seeks to make education more responsive to the diverse needs of children worldwide.
