This opportunity provides continued funding for current Lewis-Houghton Civics and Democracy Initiative (LHI) partner organizations to expand the reach and impact of their existing civics, history, and democracy education projects. Projects must focus on revising, disseminating, and enhancing teaching materials, tools, and strategies developed with previous LHI awards, leveraging the Library of Congress’s digitized primary sources. The program aims to broaden access to high-quality, creative arts-driven curricular programs, foster collaboration among educational networks, and ensure materials are accessible and openly licensed. Activities may include educational programming, materials creation, convening of partner organizations, and research on educational impact.
