Getty Library Research Grants offer partial, short-term support to researchers from any country who require in-person access to the Getty Library’s unique and specialized collections. The program is designed to foster scholarly engagement with materials that are not fully digitized, supporting research in art history, visual culture, culinary history, and conservation. Focused opportunities are available for projects utilizing the Whitney and Lee Kaplan African American Visual Culture Collection, the Anne Willan and Mark Cherniavsky Gastronomy Collection, and the Conservation Collection. The grants encourage projects that demand direct consultation of rare or unique library holdings.
