--- ## Description This funding opportunity, under the LIFE Programme's Circular Economy and Quality of Life sub-programme, targets projects that facilitate the transition toward a sustainable, circular, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient economy. Specifically, it supports initiatives focused on environmental governance, including strengthening decision-making by public administrations, promoting voluntary approaches in the public and private sectors, ensuring environmental compliance and access to justice, and fostering behavioural change and awareness-raising. Projects must directly address one or two of the eligible sub-topics, with a strong alignment to the European Green Deal and recent EU policy developments. --- ## Due Dates - September 2026 (anticipated/projected full application submission deadline) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Total indicative budget for this topic: **€4,000,000** - Typical project budget: **€700,000–€2,000,000** - Expected number of projects funded: **3 to 4** - Maximum EU co-funding rate: **60%** of eligible costs --- ## Eligibility - **Who can apply:** Legal entities (public or private bodies) established in: - EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories) - Non-EU countries associated to the LIFE Programme (see [eligible countries list](https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/life/wp-call/2025/call-fiche_life-2025-sap-env_en.pdf)) - International organisations are eligible; natural persons are not (except self-employed/sole traders in some cases) - **Consortium:** Single applicants or consortia are allowed. The coordinator must be established in an eligible country. - **Project scope:** Only projects addressing environmental governance are eligible under this call.
