    Description

This opportunity provides small research grants to support scholars from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program who have recently completed the KL2/K12 Institutional Career Development Program. The goal is to facilitate the transition of these scholars into independent academic translational scientists. The grant can fund a variety of clinical and translational science projects, including pilot and feasibility studies, secondary data analyses, self-contained research projects, development of research methodologies, and new research technologies. Projects may or may not involve patient-oriented research and should be designed for completion within a short period and with limited resources, generating preliminary data to support future research project grant applications.
