Description
This award honors individuals for a significant, well-defined contribution to pedology—the study of soil formation, classification, and mapping. The recognized work must be a single peer-reviewed publication (journal article or book chapter) that has advanced the science of soil genesis, soil classification, soil morphology, or soil mapping. The award is intended to encourage innovation and excellence in pedological research and its application to environmental and agricultural challenges. Recipients are expected to present their contribution at the Advancing Pedology Colloquium during the ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting.
