This opportunity supports the development and refinement of data inputs, metrics, and GIS tools for a habitat connectivity model focused on the Long Island Sound. The project aims to improve assessment and prioritization of restoration, conservation, and connectivity improvements across 12 priority coastal habitat types. Key deliverables include GIS shapefiles for New York restoration projects, qualitative and quantitative model metrics, ArcGIS Online data management and viewer applications, and comprehensive training materials. The selected contractor will work closely with the Long Island Sound Partnership’s Thriving Habitat and Abundant Wildlife Work Group (THAWWG) and participate in regular progress meetings. All work must adhere to NEIWPCC’s quality assurance, data management, and reporting standards.
