Description
The Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve (SSER) Local Assistance Grant Program, managed by the New York State Department of State, funds initiatives that promote the ecological health, water quality, public access, and sustainable use of the South Shore Estuary Reserve. The program encourages projects that protect vital coastal habitats, foster local engagement, support collaborative planning, and strengthen the region’s long-term environmental resilience. Eligible activities include water quality improvements, coastal resilience, habitat restoration, public access enhancements, and projects aligned with the SSER Comprehensive Management Plan.
