Each year, 10–12 academic-year fellowships (nine months) and 2–4 academic-term fellowships (four to five months) are awarded, offering scholars the opportunity to work intensively with The Huntington’s extensive library and art collections. Fellows are expected to reside continually at The Huntington during their award period and participate in weekly working group sessions, fostering a vibrant intellectual community. Recipients are matched to specific named fellowships by the review committee, such as the Dibner, Dornsife, Haaga, Kemble, Li, Mellon, Molina, and Barbara Thom Postdoctoral Fellowships.
