The Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe) is designed to build oncology capacity and expertise in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) by supporting early-career oncologists. The fellowship provides a blended training experience: up to six months of in-person clinical and research training at a host institution in the US, Canada, or Europe, followed by six to twelve months of virtual mentorship. After returning home, fellows continue their research projects in collaboration with their mentors. Fellows may choose a 12- or 18-month program duration. The goal is to enhance cancer care and research in the fellows’ home countries through advanced, mentor-guided skill development and ongoing collaboration.
