    Description

This opportunity from the U.S. Mission to Zambia invites the Zambia-U.S. Exchanges Alumni Association (ZUEA) and alumni-led youth organizations to submit proposals for managing and disbursing American Spaces program funds. The American Spaces initiative provides open-access venues for learning, cultural exchange, and dialogue between Zambians and the United States. Programs should promote themes such as freedom of speech, digital rights, U.S. history, technology, entrepreneurship, and professional skill-building.

In 2026, programming will emphasize the Freedom 250 initiative, commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence, with activities reflecting democratic governance, civic responsibility, innovation, and citizen participation. Selected organizations will design and implement projects across three American Spaces in Zambia, ensuring all activities incorporate Freedom 250 branding and align with the program's thematic mandate.
