    Description

Mardag Foundation’s Community Emergency Grant Program provides one-time emergency support to food access or housing organizations serving low-income children, youth, families and/or older adults. It fills unexpected financial gaps arising from natural, environmental or civic disasters, or unexpected maintenance and repairs to buildings, vehicles, technology or equipment. The program serves organizations in the East Metro and Greater Minnesota.

The opportunity is presented among the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation’s grant programs and is part of Mardag Foundation’s redesigned application-based grantmaking beginning in 2026. The redesign was informed by community members and grantees. This program focuses specifically on emergency needs in food access and housing, rather than general support across all types of community work.
