Description
The MASB Artist Travel Prize, administered by the Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts, is an annual award of $8,000 to a visual artist or group of visual artist collaborators who live or work in Baltimore City. The prize is intended to fund travel that is critical to the artist’s studio practice, enabling recipients to pursue opportunities and experiences that would otherwise be financially out of reach. Proposals must clearly articulate the significance of the proposed travel and its impact on the artist’s creative work, with a particular focus on supporting emerging artists. Recipients are required to present a public-facing event showcasing work developed as a result of their travel within one year of their return.
