This program funds Mathematical Sciences Research Institutes as national resources to advance research in mathematics and statistics, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and broaden participation in mathematical research across the United States. Institutes are expected to serve the mathematical sciences community at a national scale, providing infrastructure, programs, and opportunities that catalyze new discoveries, support workforce development, and disseminate knowledge. Both new and renewal proposals are invited, with a focus on creative, visionary projects that address current and emerging challenges in the mathematical sciences.
