Description
This opportunity funds a year-long program to strengthen the skills and knowledge of Indonesian journalists and media professionals in media literacy, fact-checking, data journalism, and the coverage of democratic governance, security, economic, and technology issues. The project, led by a single awardee, will implement both a national Journalism Excellence Academy and a series of regional workshops, aiming to reach at least 500 journalists and foster a cohort of local trainers and newsroom leaders. The initiative is designed to advance information integrity, promote independent reporting, and empower journalists to address misinformation using evidence-based methods. The program is a cooperative agreement, requiring close collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Jakarta.
