The Arts and Humanities Exploration Research Grants, administered by the Center for the Humanities in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at New York University, provide internal funding to advance innovative and impactful faculty-led scholarship and creative practice across the arts and humanities. The program aims to foster new ideas, interdisciplinary collaborations, and projects at any stage—from early planning and research to public engagement, creative production, or preparation for external funding proposals. Funding can support a broad range of activities, including project planning, archival or field-based research, literature reviews, materials and supplies, grant writing, travel, convenings, book editing and translation, publication costs, and digital or creative production.
