The Arts and Humanities Exploration Research Grants, administered by NYU’s Center for the Humanities and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, provide flexible internal funding for innovative faculty-led projects across the arts and humanities. The program supports work at any stage of development, from early exploration and interdisciplinary collaboration to major publications, exhibitions, or public-facing initiatives. Funding may be used for research planning, creative production, travel, community partnership development, archival or field-based research, or dissemination activities. The program is designed to deepen understanding of societal challenges and enhance the visibility and vitality of arts and humanities scholarship within NYU and beyond.
