This award is designed to support early-career investigators joining the Melanoma Academy, a virtual academy providing intensive mentoring, national networking, and collaboration opportunities. Scholars will conduct high-impact, innovative research in melanoma, addressing clinically relevant areas such as risk factors, biomarkers, detection and monitoring technologies, disease mechanisms, preclinical models, rare melanomas, and the psychological, social, or physical impacts of melanoma. All projects must demonstrate clear relevance to military health, including the needs of Service Members, Veterans, and their families.
