This opportunity is a two-year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in Literatures in English at Cornell University, co-sponsored by the Society for the Humanities and the Department of Literatures in English. The fellowship is designed for scholars specializing in African American literature and culture from any historical period, with additional expertise in gender and sexuality studies and/or media studies (including print and digital culture) especially welcomed. Fellows will teach two courses per year (one lower-level, one upper-level), pursue independent research with faculty mentorship, and actively participate in the intellectual community of both the department and the Society for the Humanities, including seminars and weekly meetings.
