This opportunity, offered by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Division of AIDS Research, provides Center Core Grants (P30) to support HIV/AIDS Research Centers (ARCs). The goal is to provide infrastructure that fosters high-impact, innovative, and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mental health and HIV/AIDS. Centers are expected to address NIMH and national HIV/AIDS research priorities, including neuro-HIV, behavioral and social science, biostatistics and data science, integrated biobehavioral, clinical, translational, and implementation science.
Centers should demonstrate leadership in their thematic areas, support affiliated investigators in competing for research funding, and provide mentoring for the next generation of HIV neuro and behavioral scientists, especially from underrepresented groups. Collaborations with community organizations, governmental bodies, and other research networks are strongly encouraged.
