Description
This opportunity funds Tennessee Sheriff’s Offices to conduct or coordinate humane, safe, and statutory-compliant transportation of non-custodial individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The grant supports adherence to Tennessee statutes (Tenn. Code Ann. § 33-6-406 and § 33-6-901), encourages the use of science-based approaches, and allows for coordination with municipal law enforcement or third-party providers as secondary transport agents.
