This opportunity offers short-term, mentor-guided internships through the SUSA project, coordinated by METU (Middle East Technical University). The internships are designed to provide students with hands-on experience in medical informatics, bioinformatics, data informatics, and information systems. Participants will work on developing and optimizing Nextflow computational workflows, mastering containerization technologies (Docker, Singularity), and using the SigProfiler suite of tools for advanced cancer genomics analyses. The program emphasizes practical skill development in Python, R, workflow reproducibility, and large-scale data management, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary teamwork and bridging academic theory with industry-ready competencies.
Internships can be completed remotely, on-site at METU’s Informatics Institute, or in a hybrid format. The program also supports mobility and collaboration between higher education institutions and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in its selection process.
