The Physician and/or Scientist Development Award (PSDA) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is designed to provide transitional funding to early-career MD and/or PhD investigators, with particular emphasis on supporting individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. The goal is to enhance research productivity and professional growth during the critical early years of an academic career, ultimately increasing opportunities for advancement to senior positions in academic medicine. The program is administered by the Center for Academic Development and Enrichment (CADE) and the Executive Committee on Research (ECOR), and includes both research and career development components.
